A beautiful spot -very informative visitor centre. We enjoyed learning more about Anglo Saxon England and obviously seeing the reconstructed boat burial was excellent. Top quality food in the restaurant too. We arrived for lunch after 2:30. They only serve lunch between 12 and 2:30. I had a cream tea (scone with Jam and clotted cream). It was top notch grub but I needed something more substantial. That was the only let down.
An authentic and amazing recreation of the burial of an ancient British "king" / Chieftain. The beautiful copies of the fabulous artifacts are more impressive than the originals now displayed in the British museum. The ancient burial mounds are located a short woodland walk from the museum buildings and the whole site is well presented. Check times for informative and entertaining talks at various locations within the main building.

I have been in a week today. I really don’t get the poor reviews. Alison in sales has been great from start to finish with no hard sales technique. Once the holding deposit was taken she called every week to update us. Alison explained the buying procedure and answered all questions. That’s sales. As for aftercare, it’s been amazing we’ve had one or two little issues and a big one tonight all fixed quickly efficiently and this is all down to John and his team being on the ball, efficient and honest. Enough positive stuff cannot be said to highlight how good him his team are. Layout and build. Yup there’s been little snags and one major one but we are the first up and to be honest, I would expect a few niggles brand new. It won’t be perfect because a house needs to be lived in to find its faults. One issue with W layout and that’s no direct access to the car park that backs onto our garden, we have to walk all the way round, but we will be looking to get this issue sorted. The rest of the layout has been fine thus far. So yeah, well deserved 5* at Millers place, the team are awesome... so far 👍🏻

Pleasant walks in the health land. Nature trails good for children and adults alike. Tea room well stocks. Shop good selection as always. National trust doing fine work to preserve our pleasant land.
Rightly deserving of its ANOB designation. This is my local (and favourite) coast south of the equally beautiful North East, and one of the reasons for re-locating here. In all seasons this landscape has something to offer but I think out of the main summer season when tourists and visitors start to dwindle it comes into its own. Inspiring and beautiful, desolate and wild the heaths, beaches and cliffs are remarkable for their lack of human intervention, although clearly they are well managed in terms of protecting the environment and ecosystems which exist here. Whether it's for a short dog-walk or a thorough exploration this area has much to offer.
